Armenia Tours & Holidays
Experience the ancient Christian heritage and stunning mountain landscapes of Armenia with our expertly guided small group tours and holiday in Armenia packages. Choose from 8-, 10-, 15-, or 16-day itineraries that blend medieval monasteries, vibrant culture, and Caucasus adventure.

Armenia is the Caucasus region’s best-kept secret and a destination where ancient history comes alive at every turn. Sandwiched between Asia and Europe along the historic Silk Road, this former Soviet republic captivates travelers with its extraordinary collection of medieval monasteries, dramatic mountain scenery, and status as the world’s oldest Christian nation. Despite its small size, Armenia delivers experiences that rival any European destination—without the crowds.
From the lively capital Yerevan with its Soviet-era architecture and bustling cafés to the snow-capped peak of Mount Aragats and the pristine alpine waters of Lake Sevan, Armenia offers remarkable diversity. Visitors can explore UNESCO World Heritage monasteries carved into cliffsides, taste wines from one of the world’s oldest winemaking regions, marvel at Mount Ararat’s iconic profile from ancient Khor Virap, and experience the warmth of locals who eagerly welcome the few travelers who discover their country.
Why Armenia Holidays are Different
Armenia offers something increasingly rare in Europe—genuine discovery without tourist crowds. While neighboring Turkey and Georgia see growing visitor numbers, Armenia remains wonderfully uncrowded, meaning you’ll explore magnificent monasteries in near-solitude and experience authentic hospitality from locals genuinely delighted you’ve come. The Armenian people’s warmth stands out immediately—solo travelers especially find they’re never truly alone with friendly locals always keen to share stories, invite you for coffee, or practice their English. Our small group tours keep things intimate with just 12 people, giving you real experiences like making traditional lavash flatbread with local bakers, tasting wines at family-run vineyards, and exploring remote mountain monasteries with guides who grew up in these regions.

Some inspiration from our blog
Armenian cuisine is delicious and varied, sharing similarities with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking. Expect fresh vegetables, grilled meats (khorovats), lavash flatbread, numerous herb-heavy salads, yogurt-based dishes, and dolma (stuffed grape leaves). Khash (trotter soup) is a traditional breakfast. Armenian brandy is world-famous, and the wine is distinctive. Vegetarians are well catered for with many vegetable-based dishes. Food is generally fresh, flavorful, and hearty.
Our Armenia tours involve moderate activity including walking on uneven surfaces at monastery sites, optional hikes to monasteries and viewpoints, and stairs at various locations. The 8-day Wander and Wine tour includes more hiking (fitness 3/5) through gorges and mountain trails. Other tours involve less strenuous walking. High altitudes (Yerevan is 1,000 meters, some sites higher) can affect fitness. Anyone reasonably fit and comfortable walking 1-3 hours daily will manage well.
