Authentic Voodoo Heritage
Togo and Benin are home to living voodoo traditions practised openly as a genuine belief system. Our Togo trips take you into ceremonies with local priests and to Lomé's famous fetish market.

Experience the vibrant culture and spiritual traditions of Togo with our expertly guided tours and holiday packages. Choose from our 11-day, 16-day, or 25-day Togo itineraries for a journey that blends voodoo heritage, diverse landscapes, and authentic West African encounters.
Togo tours offer one of West Africa's most authentic and culturally immersive journeys — a small nation where voodoo ceremonies are sacred rituals, markets serve local communities rather than souvenir hunters, and centuries-old traditions continue undisturbed. From the vibrant streets of Lomé and its legendary fetish market to the trance-like ceremonies of Benin's Ouidah and the extraordinary Tata Somba fortress villages of the Tamberma people in the north, Togo travel packages reveal a West Africa that remains genuinely itself.
Our small group Togo holidays cover the full breadth of this remarkable region — exploring Lomé's grand marché and fetish market, sailing on Lake Togo, hiking the scenic trails around Mt Klouto near Kpalimé, and visiting the UNESCO-listed Koutammakou homeland of the Tamberma people. Multi country itineraries extend into Benin's Abomey and Ganvie stilt village, and Ghana's Ashanti Kingdom in Kumasi and Cape Coast's powerful slave castle heritage.

From the field
The best time to visit Togo is October to March, when rainfall drops and the heat becomes far more manageable. Our departures run in October, February and March, with additional Voodoo Festival departures in December and January timed around Benin's celebrated mid-January celebration. The coastal south stays warm and humid throughout the year, while the north around Koutammakou is noticeably drier and cooler from November. Travel outside the rainy seasons (April–June and August–September) makes a real difference on the road and at cultural sites.
