India Tours & Holidays
India holiday packages take you beyond the well-trodden circuits, into landscapes and traditions most travellers never reach. Few countries reward genuine curiosity quite so generously.

India operates on a scale and depth most countries cannot match, layered with histories, faiths and languages that have been quietly refining themselves for thousands of years. Mughal cities, Himalayan kingdoms, desert states and Buddhist mountain valleys coexist within a single border, each with its own rhythm. Travel here is rarely passive, and the country tends to meet you on its own terms.
Our India holiday packages take you into the country’s remarkable far north, where the Himalayan region of Ladakh holds some of Asia’s oldest Buddhist culture, including the 12th-century monastery at Alchi and the cliffside gompa of Lamayuru. Routes lead you from Delhi up to Leh, into the Nubra Valley over the Khardung La pass and out to the Pakistan-border village of Turtuk. From classic India small group tours to bespoke holiday packages shaped around your interests, every journey is built to give you time to stop, watch and absorb.

Undiscovered Destinations creates thoughtfully designed India tours that go beyond the usual highlights, combining iconic sights with rewarding lesser-known experiences. Our current India guided tours range from Delhi’s Mughal heritage to Leh’s whitewashed Old Town and the Buddhist gompas of Thiksey, Hemis and Alchi, with detours into the Nubra Valley and the remote Silk Road village of Turtuk.
Our India holidays are operated in small groups, allowing for a more personal and flexible experience with expert local guidance throughout. For travellers drawn to slow, immersive cultural discovery and high-altitude Himalayan landscapes rather than rushed checklist itineraries, our India tours strike a careful balance between adventure, history and human connection.
India Tour Highlights
1. India – Cultural Ladakh
11 days, from £2,095 per person
This 11-day journey climbs from Delhi onto the Tibetan plateau, settling into Leh where centuries-old palaces, monasteries and bazaars sit beneath the Stok Kangri range. From there you cross the Wari La and Khardung La passes into the Nubra Valley, drifting between Hundar’s dunes and the Bactrian camels of the old Silk Road. A long day out reaches Turtuk, a Balti village near the Pakistan border that only opened to outsiders recently. The route winds west to the Buddhist artworks of Alchi and the lunar landscapes around Lamayuru before returning through Themisgam’s apricot valleys, with departures running in July.
