Bhutan Tours & Holiday Packages
Experience the ancient traditions and breathtaking Himalayan scenery of Bhutan with our expertly guided small group tours. Choose from our 12-day or 13-day Bhutan itineraries, each timed around vibrant local festivals that bring this remote Buddhist kingdom to life.

Bhutan is a fascinating Himalayan kingdom squeezed between India and Chinese-occupied Tibet, fiercely independent and proud of its cultural heritage. ‘The Land of the Thunder Dragon’ only opened to tourists in 1974 and remains deeply conservative — a Buddhist country that operates on its own terms, with isolated mountain valleys, gravity-defying monasteries, and colourful festivals filled with masked dances and ritual music.
Bhutan offers something truly rare — a kingdom where ancient Buddhist traditions and spectacular mountain scenery come together in a place largely untouched by mass tourism. Our small group tours have a maximum of just 12 travellers, giving you real access to sacred monasteries, imposing dzong fortresses, vibrant local festivals, and the iconic hike to Tiger’s Nest.

Some inspiration from our blog
Bhutan is a year-round destination, with each season offering something different. Our tours are timed around the country’s vibrant festivals: February and March for the Punakha Tsechu, April and May for the intimate Ura Festival or Petsheling Festival in Bumthang, September for the Tangbi Mani Festival, and November for the Black-Necked Crane Festival in the beautiful Phobjikha Valley. Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) generally offer the most settled weather and clearest Himalayan views.
Three days would only scratch the surface. Bhutan’s highlights are spread across several valleys connected by winding mountain roads, and much of the experience lies in the journey itself. Our shortest Bhutan itinerary is 12 days, which allows time to travel from Thimphu through Punakha, Bumthang, and the Phobjikha Valley to Paro — taking in festivals, monasteries, dzongs, and the iconic Tiger’s Nest hike without feeling rushed.
All our Bhutan tours have a maximum group size of 12 travellers. This keeps the experience intimate and means you get real access to monasteries, festivals, and local communities without the crowds of larger tour groups. We also guarantee departures with no minimum group size, so your trip won’t be cancelled if numbers are low.
