Kosovo has a continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. Spring (April–May) brings mild temperatures, green valleys and wildflowers, making it an excellent time to explore the Rugova Valley, Prizren and Gjakova. Summer (June–August) is hot and sunny, ideal for sightseeing, while autumn (September–October) offers cooler weather, colourful landscapes and quieter roads. Winter brings snow to the Sharr Mountains and Rugova Valley, creating dramatic scenery despite more challenging travel conditions.
