The colonial cities of Granada and León are among the finest in the Americas, with beautifully restored baroque churches, cobbled lanes and a genuine historical atmosphere.
Beyond the cities, you’ll find rich coffee-growing highlands, the peaceful volcanic island of Ometepe, and laid-back Pacific coast towns like San Juan del Sur. Simply amazing!
Cerro Negro's ascent takes approximately one and a half to two hours reaching the main crater—moderate difficulty requiring reasonable fitness but achievable for most travelers. Mombacho's cloud forest trails are easier with options for different fitness levels. Masaya requires no hiking as you drive to the crater rim. The tours have fitness ratings of 2/5, making them accessible to travelers with moderate fitness who can walk on uneven volcanic terrain.
