Zambia Tours & Holidays

Zambia tours promise something rare: a wilderness still raw enough to feel discovered. Walking safaris and lantern-lit nights remain the rhythm here, much as when this style of safari was first invented.

Zambia at a Glance

Zambia is a classic African safari destination known for its uncrowded parks and authentic wilderness experiences. The South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Kafue National Parks are among the continent’s best for wildlife viewing, offering excellent opportunities for walking safaris and game drives in a peaceful, natural setting.

Our Zambia tour packages focus on South Luangwa National Park, where wildlife sightings often take place close to the lodge along the Luangwa River. Many itineraries can also be combined with neighbouring Malawi tour packages for a wider regional journey. From small group safaris to tailor-made Zambia holiday packages, each trip is designed for flexibility, comfort and immersive wildlife experiences.

Why Choose Undiscovered Destinations Zambia Tour Packages

Undiscovered Destinations creates thoughtfully designed Zambia tours that go beyond the usual highlights, combining iconic sights with rewarding lesser-known experiences. From the unspoilt thickets of South Luangwa National Park and game viewing along the Luangwa River to the cultural and lakeside contrasts of neighbouring Malawi, taking in Liwonde National Park, the shores of Lake Malawi and the Zomba Plateau, the route gives wildlife the time and space it deserves.

Our Zambia holidays are operated in small groups, allowing for a more personal and flexible experience with expert local guidance throughout. For travellers drawn to wildlife-first journeys where walking safaris, river drives and unhurried bush time matter more than ticking off a checklist, our guided group tours offer the right balance of expertise, depth and freedom. Private and tailor-made options are also available.

For first-time visitors, around 10 days is usually ideal to experience Zambia’s main highlights, including its national parks and wildlife areas. While shorter trips can cover key attractions, a longer stay allows for a more relaxed pace and a deeper safari experience across different regions.

Zambia’s most common staple is maize, with nshima forming the base of almost every meal. It is typically served with vegetables, stews or meat-based dishes known as “relish,” and is traditionally eaten by hand.
